Here at PPOTD HQ it's Thursday. Some days have a
special significance in PPOTD, most notably Monday
when we have a poem all about the day of Monday.
Thursday has no magical properties though, it's
just another day in paradise, which leads us nicely
on to today's pop poem - so nicely that to have
any further ado at this point would be unthinkable,
so we will proceed without either that, or any
unnecessary introduction:
You can't hurry love
No you've just got to wait
Love don't come easy
It's a game of give and take
Competition time. Firstly, yesterday's results where
Mike was the only PPOTD fan who was able to
effectively visualise and describe a jar of oblong
shaped objects. I can now reveal that the secret
PPOTD jar of oblong shaped objects contained a
tennis court, half a tennis court, and half of a
town square (looks like Northallerton to me). Now,
by way of similarity, Mike's jar was a very poor
match indeed. Couldn't have been poorer in fact.
Therefore, he didn't win.
Today's task requires much less imagination, so
even some of our dumber readers will be able to
take part and perhaps secure a place on the PPOTD
Bingo Bonanza Card. The object of the exercise is
to name the five songs about food and/or drink that
you think will best meet the judges judging criteria.
In the event of a tie, the judges decision is final.
